[Review] Prisma Illya 2wei! Manga Vol. 4 Limited Edition w/ Nendoroid Petite Prisma Illya by Kadokawa Group Publishing

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've haven't been too hardworking with updating my figurine blog these days and I've been cutting down on my orders, this is my final 3 order. I hope they won't come up with anything that I like or I won't be able to stop buying at all. Anyways, pre-ordered this from AmiAmi since last January 13th and finally got my invoice on September 27th, made payment and finally arrived today October 5th.

This set is selling for 2,381 yen. *roll eyes at AmiAmi. They sell for 2,500 yen. I had a combine shipping with a friend on another figure set so shipping wasn't that expensive but currency went bad and the price was slightly higher but it's fine. This is not the most expensive figure I've got hehe.

The set includes:1) Nendoroid Petit Prisma Illya (after transformation)2) Newly recorded drama CD (approx. 60min.)3) Limited edition manga (in the special cover with exclusive illustration)

I was just gonna leave it MISB with the other pile but since a friend told me his nendoroid petit is missing a hair piece, I went slightly panicky and open mine to check. End up doing this review instead. Okay.

Cuts outer plastic. Take out.

The usual packaging. Nendoroid petit at 1 side and the other is the manga and CD!

Lets look at the manga first. First few pages (maybe 2-3 pages) are color.

And inside is black and white.

Now the CD.

Yet to turn this on. Maybe later.

Now to the nendoroid petit.

Takes a moment and *sniffffffffffffffffffffffff~ ahhhh the smell of new nendo.

Okay, sorry 'bout that. *takes out everything.

That's what you get. 2 facial expression! Yay~

*Takes off plastic. I usually take off and remove plastic but some part looks a bit too fragile that I was reluctant to pull the body parts apart, so just tore the plastic like how my friend, Pjal did with the ones I had last time. I'm not taking any risk in breaking it okay.

Cutest thing EVER! And the make is so nice. Smooth~ in comparison with the sets. *roll eyes. I find those are slightly poor quality. In a way of saying, the detailing for these are better.

Now attach it back and massive photograph it. With my smartphone that is.

[Review] Monthly Anime Style - Issue 1 with Nendoroid Petite: Taiga Aisaka - Final Episode ver.

My second purchase via Mandrake. Satisfied. Too bad they don't have SAL registered for shipping. EMS is a bit expensive. It took around 8 days for this to reach me from Japan. I've been hunting it via ebay and mandrake for months. I actually nearly got it via ebay which is sold for RM160++ with the magazine but I lost track of time, someone outbid me. I got this for less than 4,000 yen, I think.

Since the order I made is without the magazine, I can't review about it. Just the nendoroid petite hehe.

Dengeki G's Magazine 2011 Sept. Issue with Nendoroid Petite Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Erio

I've been busy with some personal stuff like losing weight and keep fit that I've stacked a bunch of nendoroids to a mountain of em. Heck, I haven't even got time to open my Black Rock Shooter (BRS) nendo series yet. *le sigh. But thankfully today I brought along this with me to work and took some photos with my handy dandy smartphone :) Oh yeah, on another note, my Canon Powershot A710 IS that I had for years is dying, well it sort of died but not entirely. Still can take photo but no views on the screen. Time for a new camera huhu.

So I placed my order with AmiAmi around June if I'm mistaken, I almost missed this or wanted to miss it cause I think I sort of had this withdrawal syndrome towards nendoroids. But I couldn't help it and made the purchase. This cost around 990 yen. But with shipping, it cost more. I think I got this for over 2k yen. Shipping cost is an ass.

Received this in August. Early August and left it to collect dust for few days cause didn't have time to do this review yet.

The Dengeki G's Magazine 2011 September Issue comes with Nendoroid Petite Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Erio. And that's about it. Heavy magazine is heavy. No regrets though. I'm such a big fan of nendoroid petite compared to nendoroid. Size matter. The smaller the cuter. Well, that's just me that is. I think a bundled nendoroid petite could cost more than a normal size nendoroid sometimes. *sad.

1st Nendoroid Gathering in Sabah

I was gonna blog about it this morning but my pages wouldn't want to load. Anyways, yesterday (10th Oct 2010) was our 1st Sabah Nendoroid Gathering. We have new collectors yay~ I think the people who collects a lot of nendoroid and are active collectors here is Pjal, myself and the owners of Hobby Densetsu. Our first gathering was at Kirameki Cafe. From noon till I don't know wut time. I was there till 4pm I think coz I was a bit tired. I nearly didn't go. Since I have problem transporting most of my nendos and since all of em are in box and some are MISB, I decided to bring puchi instead coz I've already remove em from box for last minute photo taking experience. I need a bigger container, seriously.

And since I got some Do-Tai nekkid body and toilet miniature furniture set, I brought that along. Oh and I brought my DIY pillow that I made for Sebastian. Wait! Those bath tub and toilet are requested by Pjal btw.

I've been going back and forth to online figure shop sites and thinking whether I should get that BD and DVD Black Rock Shooter First Release Limited Edition that comes with Nendoroid Petite BRS and Dead Master.

As much as I want these, I am trying really hard to limit myself from pre-ordering it. I have already have an order for December 2010 release which cost around 1,600 yen. Adding this would add another 3k yen. Not forgetting heavy pre-order in August (due to delayed items) - October of this year.

Maybe it's best for me to skip this coz if I decided to pre-order, I might not be able to stop purchasing all BRS related items.

Good Smile Company announced to be release in November 2010, Nendoroid Hinagiku Katsura (ねんどろいどかつらひなぎく) of Hayate the Combat Butler. This nendo is manufactured by Max Factory and is selling for 3,800 yen (tax included).

Manufacturer Description:

The girl with both beauty and intelligence, Hinagiku!

From "Hayate the Combat Butler", the comedy series filled with both love and bloodshed (?) comes a Nendoroid of the student council president of Hakuou Academy, Hinagiku Katsura!

Review: Dengeki G's Magazine August 2010 with Nendroid Petite Angel Beats! Tenshi

Finally I can blog! I've been trying to post this 2 hours ago. The line been crazy slow since yesterday. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, been bz catching up with TV series. Heck because of the downtime and since I'm now sleepy, I'm less motivated to write this post. But hey, I'll do my best in roughly reviewing the above mentioned.

It was my first order with Otacute. I was reluctant to proceed with my order at first coz I was getting not so great feedback from people around the net about their services. But decided to proceed with it cause I wanted to give em a fair trial. Oh yeah, btw the magazine is sold for 990 yen (tax included). I got this for USD20++ (including registered SAL).

My personal experience purchasing from this online site.

Unable to combine shipment for item unless of the same month. Pretty common, AmiAmi also doing the same thing.
Can't cancel pre-orders/orders after confirm. I think the only hobby/figurine online shop that I shop with that allows cancellation through the system is HobbyLinkJapan.
There's four (4) types of shipping available: SAL (unregistered), SAL (registered), EMS and FedEx. It's priced accordingly being SAL (unregistered) is the cheapest method but not so save and takes maybe around 2 weeks for item to arrive and FedEx being the most expensive. My usual shipping would be EMS (equivalent to Malaysia Pos Laju which is not so "laju" at times). My choice for shipping the magazine is with SAL (registered). It took less than 10 days to arrive.
Figurine pricing quite similar to the other online figure sites. No complain there.
Customer service response time, not as fast as I expected. So far I've enquired from AmiAmi and HLJ, they reply very fast.
Item condition, not bad. Will show some photos below.

Overall, the services they offer are quite similar with the other figure online website. I didn't have any problem with the shipment and my item arrived safely. I think it could arrive earlier, judging from local postal and how they manage things could be worst. Hmm, I guess I'm lucky? This time. Heheh~

Review: BooBoo Kagabu- limited Edition Manga with Kagaboo Figure by Kadakawa Shoten

I received this a week ago or so, ordered it from Animetsu for RM100. It's always good to order comic/magazine base products from local seller, I think because the price is sort of fixed? Well, you don't need to worry about shipping price that's for sure.

The Kagaboo ( かがぶー ) non-scale PVC figure from the “Lucky Star” ( らき☆すた ) doujin “Boo Boo Kagaboo” ( ぶーぶーかがぶー ) by Eretto ( えれっと ) from the doujin circle Utsura Uraraka ( うつらうららか ) which was released by Kadokawa. This is bundled with the manga “Boo Boo Kagaboo Bootto Limited Edition” ( ぶーぶーかがぶーぶーっと限定版 ). Sold for 1,890 yen (tax included).

I love this kinda package I think because it's compact and the figure is pack inside. Unlike those magazines which doesn't have the same size as the figure box hmph~

It'd totally be nice if you could have an army of Kagaboo like the front cover. But I'd be totally crazy if I wanna do that. I know somebody with an army of nendoroid petite Kaito *uhuk~. Oh and notice the back? You get a preview of the figure. This is just like the Nagato Yuki (nendoroid petite) packaging. Only I missed out on the pre-order, hence had to get it triple the original price from e-bay *sigh.

It's like a full almost 90 pages of color! I'm telling you it was insane. But hehe I haven't gone through it, yet.

Oh, and this, I forgot what's the content though hehe. But it's black and white.

Now the figure.

The only thing that came with the figure is the figure itself and the base. But then, if you wanna make it stand, you don't really need to use the base hehe, except for scratch prevention. I don't think any part of the body is detachable, I tried but scared might damage it, so I didn't detach anything hehe. Don't you think it's the cutest thing EVER!? I love it regardless.

July & August Nendoroids

Good Smile Company (GSC) doesn't seem to show any sign of break, just when I thought they're slowing down. I was so wrong.

Today, announced the pre-order for Manaka Takane Nendoroid (release in August 2010) figure from Love Plus and Francesca Lucchini from Strike Witches (release in July 2010). I've already did both blog post at Animetsu Blog, just click the link.

Manaka Takane comes in four (4) different expression and selling for 3,500 yen. I want this!

I find the expression is so damn cute.

GSC will also release the other two (2) characters Nene and Rinko in the future.

As cute as the facial expression is, I'm skipping this coz I dun really watch Strike Witches. Hmm somehow this reminds me of Sky Girls. I have no idea why.

To buy or not to buy? *thinks hard. Lemme check my order list first. Won't wanna go over budget again now do we? Besides, I'm waiting for Revoltech Toro and Kuro in October. Gotta save some $$ for that.

Review: Angel Beats! Yurippe Nendoroid Petite

Today, I'm very happy to say that I've added her into my collection list ;) It arrives today, but I had to go post office to collect it myself. Bummer!~ Thank gawd for AmiAmi's 50% off EMS on shipment, I saved a lot. I've ordered two (2) sets. One though is for Pjal. Come on collect it!

Anyways, going to post office around noon is not farnie. Parking is not farnie. I was driving in circles (I think I turned more than 5 times), and look for parking near it instead. Nearly did an illegal parking but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Mind you, I'd go to the post office for package collection not to say often but I think too many times but I doubt any of those people at the counter would recognize me. But for the first time, the dood at the counter mistaken me for a japanese. Oh ogie, I was mistaken for a korean before during my last visit in 1997 but to be mistaken in your own country? That'd be the first time. He'd ask for a passport instead of my ID. Weird. And he repeated wut he said twice. "I thought you're a japanese". Oh ogie, I'm not deaf. I can hear you just fine.

And this is the biggest box I ever receive from ordering. Ogie maybe not the biggest but the widest maybe? Iono. Lemme let you guys see why I'd say that. I mean I had a box filled with three (3) nendoroids boxes before, this were wide and surprisingly light. I'd expect something heavy LOL.

I went back to my office straight after I collected my package. Somehow I know that if I went and get some vegetarian lunch at Gaya Street, I'd be disappointed coz it usually sold out fast. I'm left hungry with no lunch. But it's ogie, I'm sort of fasting/on diet. Hehe.

I'd brought the box back to the office and open it direct. I mean I'm overly excited and curious at the same time. Wouldn't you do the same?

Here's the box. Since the pathetic me dun have a ruler, I'd use the pen instead, to show you how big the box is.

And these fits two (2) sets of those Angel Beats! bundled with Dengeki G's Festival Vol. 6 magazine mind you.

As you can see, the front view is as described at online figurine sites while the back is a series of product by chara-ani that will be release in few months.

Now you can see, that back thing is obviously the magazine. And yes, it's that thin. It's A4 size with additional 1 inch to the width. The magazine is a roughly 70 pages of introduction/interview/character introduction and etc. I'll walk you through some of the pages with photos aight.

And yes! I intentionally took the photo about Shiina-san! Gosh I love that character, well apart from the others of course. Oh yeah, not forgetting the interview pages an d notice the band pages? OMG those are kewl as collection figures *uhuk~. You know? *hint K-ON! Even though they're not the lead characters in that series, they're one kewl band! Be cafeful wut you wish for, it may came true and I'll be broke till I know it.

Oh another great news is...

A set of three (3) gonna be release soon. No idea when though. Lookie lookie! Shiina-san YATTA!!! I hope I won't miss out on Tenshi's nendoroid petite figure in June.

Now lets get back to the box that comes/bundled with this thin magazine.

Yes, it's a small box inside a box. That's where the dakimakura and nendoroid petite is.

No, sorry, I'm not able to open this at work coz my office is filled with busy body. LOL.

And last but not least, the nendoroid petite.

Waw, most of the time they'd have the detachable version instead of detached ones, isn't it? Or I must be dreaming? Took it out of the plastic and detach the whole thing.

Detaching the lower body part seems a bit tedious. There were plastic on it so I had to take it off. Putting it on back is also tedious. I must be sweating a lot not being able to fix it properly.

And...uh oh! Her hand (from the wrist) is detachable too. OMG! Does this mean I could hmmm. Lets keep that thought to myself first.

Review: Ritsu Tainaka Nendoroid

I've mentioned in my previous post about going through a totally stressful process in getting her (imagine camping at japanese sites), related post, here.

I received her a week ago but only manage to take her out from the box. I was bz the whole of last week that I'm too exhausted to even blog.

Now I have a total of three (3) characters from K-ON. I haven't get into Yui and Mio yet. I had those since January and took some photos but yet to blog about it.

Back to Ritsu.

Whoa, so much plastic in there.

Take everything out and put it on the table.

As you can see, there's the usual three (3) facial expression, the drum set, the lower body (sitting, for the drums), extra hair without hairband, hand joints, arm joints and head bump. The stand looks exactly like Mio's.

And that's about it. Out of those three (3) characters that I have from K-ON, I seem to have some kinda attachment towards Ritsu. I don't know, I took Mio and Yui to play before, but it wasn't as satisfying. Or maybe I wanted to wait till I got the complete set? Hmm, I did this post coz someone was rushing me to do it. But only manage to do it today. When I'm FREE!!!

Here are some of the photos I took of her with Mio and Yui. I just gotta do it.

Come to think of it. None of my nendoroid have a microphone. Wait, right? I want a microphone. I even wanted to make them play with Megurine Luka but somehow I got a little lazy unboxing.

Next part, was testing their facial expression and joints with each other. Surprisingly it fits to each nicely. Except Ritsu's hand joint to Mio's body. It's too loose. But I manage to hold it up ;)

Somehow I enjoy putting em together like this ;)

Review: Marisa Kirisame Nendoroid

I've been thinking so much lately about this. I wanted to get all the Touhou Project Nendoroid if I could but, it's too far to reach. *cries. That being said, I'd like to thank Animetsu for making Marisa Nendoroid as my first exclusive nendoroid. I got her at a very good price. My next would be Sanae. I couldn't get Reimu and Sakuya yet *sigh.

This came together with Nendoroid Chiaki and Luka. Refer to my previous post, here.

On another note, I'm happy to say that the Nendoroid Ritsu I've ordered from AmiAmi is reaching soon. It got off KL on Saturday, so I'll be receiving it on Monday. I hope. And it's gewd to know that I manage to get one for Pjal via HLJ. Thank gawd they restocked.

Anyways, lets get back to Marisa Nendo shall we?

Witch hat, most probably can fit any nendoroid's head. Oh yeah, notice there's some shade of pink on the white ribbon. It's not photoshop. It's naturally like that. I think if it were entirely white, you can't see the detailing.

You can change the hand joints. Some with holes to hold different items.

Last but not least, my favorite expression. :D

Every nendoroid characters are unique in their own way, no less in this one. I love em dearly ;) I just hope I could collect every single one of them. Especially the ones from this series. Unfortunately, I'm not that rich *cries.

The troubles in getting Nendoroid Ritsu Tainaka of K-ON

Getting her is not as easy as getting the other characters via pre-order.

They released this last February 2010 and since the whole licensing issue which affected my order with local sellers (a lot of local orders were canceled), I've been monitoring every possible website that re-opens this for order but it keeps disappointing me.

So, two (2) days ago, miraculously it was open for order at Hobby Search. The things I have to go through to get my brother to go home just to order for me to found out that it's sold out. I was partially depressed and decided to give up on it till that night, Pjal called me and informed me that the orders are open at AmiAmi.

Mind you, I was busy preparing dinner at that time that I dropped everything and went on making my order with my dad's laptop. Review: Megurine Luka Nendoroid

I actually did a review post for animetsu last nite and posted it this morning, click here. So I thought, maybe I should just rewrite the whole thing for my blog post. Now I'm not sure anymore. Or maybe this whole thing is caused by exhaustion? I'm exhausted. I think more rest. I think one of the reason is the fact that my mum told me there was a snake in my brother's bathroom *sigh. I couldn't sleep because of that! RAWR!

Anyways, back to this character. This came together with Minami Chiaki Nendoroid (just in case you missed out on this post, click here). Took me awhile to blog about it coz I was sick or too bz with other stuff.

Here's the front and back cover of the box. I wonder why there's no sticker on these.

Opening the box. Now this part, see how "busted" it looked? I swear the postal service put some heavy shite on my box. At least it's not as bad as what happened to my Minami Chiaki Nendoroid box.

It's your usual 3 facial expression. I love her expression. There's some hand and leg joints that comes with it. The usual stand and Tako Luka!!!!

Actually, those are the only shots of her I took. Coz, I got so distracted by how cute Tako Luka is.

This got me excited. OMG, does this mean I could fit it onto nendoroid petite body?

Before we get to that, lets detach it.

To my disappointment. The face/head doesn't fit to any of my other nendoroid petite characters. *sigh. Heck! Out of 5 that I took out, none of em fit any of the other ones *cries.

Look at that size. I think the left one belongs to Nagato Yuki Petite and the right one is Tako Luka's face.

See, even face up or down, you can see lotsa difference in size.

But, at least kurimu gym uniform fits to Luka. MWAHAHHAHAHA.

Last but not least, I just gotta do this.

Coz it's super cute! Erm, too bad nyoron's head can't put on anybody's head. Her head can't stand on it's own. Hehe.

This is definitely an exciting collection regardless it being a vocaloid character. Which in any case, I don't collect any, this happens to be the first? Oh wait, does handphone charms count?

Hmm, believe it or not, I have zero knowledge of this character. I got it coz of the mask LOL. I know I sound so sick rite? Anyways, here's some info. I got over the net.

Plot Summary: A spate of mafia assasinations occurs in America, the work of the mysterious organization named Inferno. "Phantom" is their most strongest and capable assassin, however a lone tourist witnesses Phantom's latest act of murder. He unwittingly exposes the top assassin's true identity, a young girl named Ein. Witnesses are usually killed, but the man is captured and taken to be brainwashed into "Zwei", Inferno's newest assassin, with no memory of who he is. From this point on, Zwei is drawn into a world of conspiracy, deceit and violence.

Overall, what got on my nerves was trying to make her stand properly. She keeps on falling everytime I put her on the stand. Soon I realize, I was putting her the wrong way. She stands nicely actually. Some of the arm joints looks weird but I get why it was that way when I attached it. The best part, you could hold Sebastian's cat vice versa to Sebastian holding the teddy bear.

Hmm, now, I wanna try to put her with maid outfit. Summon Kagami Kuro XD

Minami Chiaki Nendoroid

I first watch the anime in 2007. So, I thought this anime is somewhat interesting. I love the characters but not much on the storyline. I mean I can't remember the storyline better than the characters.

For those who never watch this, maybe should watch. It's a story about Minami Family, which consist of three (3) siblings, Haruka, Kana and Chiaki. If I remember correctly, the eldest sis, Haruka is very sweet and she plays a role like a monther while the second sis, Kana is retarded LOL. I'm sorry, there's no other way to describe her. In other words, she's an airhead. While Chiaki is the smart "I can't handle dumb people" kind of character.

Anyways, I wasn't planning to talk more about the anime which everyone would probably already know, I'm gonna talk about Nendoroid Minami Chiaki that I just received from animetsu today.

This was pre-ordered last August and was released in January of this year. Pretty long time ago right?

Aight lets start with the box. Apart from the torn (*cries) box, a token of love from Pos Laju, the figure seems to be in good condition. Here's the front and back view of the box. Please ignore that torn box part. *sigh. I feel depress from looking at it. But I fixed it with a lil help from sellotape. ;) Oh and ignore the scissor hahahah, that's the closest scissor that I can find at that moment.

From that whole *Pos Laju treated my package like punching bag*, when going through this phase (of opening the box), most of the parts felt like ham choi. You know like those folded box that doesn't go back to it's normal condition? Yeah that were the case for the top part of my box.

Now the content.

Your typical 1 body and 3 facial expression. Pretty normal.

Next is the stand.

For nendoroid.

And for the bear.

Doesn't this look like nendoroid petite's stand? Yeap it's exactly the same.

Aight before I get to the Chiaki and her expression. Lets look at her bear.

This is so cute. Btw, the head and hand is detachable. Unfortunately, the leg are not. Detaching head.

Overall, I so love this nendoroid. I personally love her character in the anime and the bear? It's like having an extra nendoroid petite to play with. Well apart of course, the torn bit from the box *sigh. This is a great nendoroid figure to add to your collection. Hmm, I wonder if they gonna make the sisters hehe~

This is the saddest thing that has happened to me. I mean this is the first time my figure box got torn, it's depressing looking at it.

These are my new items. It's gonna take awhile to review all of em.

Review: Dengeki Bunko magazine March 2010 Edition Vol.12 Nii-Ten-Go limited Ver. Serenia Appendix (Magazine)

The thing about ordering items for yourself is, you'll have to be the one to handle any matters that comes after the purchase. In this case, since my order was sent out before the chinese new year holiday, it reaches KL before the holiday and was sent out to destination the following working day. Which in this case, reach my location after the holidays, which fall on Wednesday (yesterday). I checked my package status via Japan EMS site and found out it was at KL but decided to call KLIA mail centre just in case.

Found out that it was already sent out to my location and I was anxiously waiting for the posman to send it to me. And this is the first time for me to experience this. Being called by the local centre to pick up my package. Gahh~ say wut? I think all their staff is still on holiday till next week since it's another holiday next Friday?

So there I was, at work, after the call, went to Pos Laju centre for the pick up. My mistake for going out around lunch hour. Thank gawd traffic weren't that bad. Reach there, I notice there were a lot of undelivered package and even though there weren't much people queuing up the line, most of them are picking up their package cause the mail centre had called them to pick it up themselves? I know everyone deserves a holiday but are they understaffed? Why can't they get it sent out efficiently? I wonder if courier service works that way too. *sigh.

Went back to the office after the pick up and start unboxing.

But before that, I notice that my box was opened by Local Custom. Not sure why yet but.

The content. Two of these. One is mine and another one belongs to Pjal.

The contents:

Lets start with the magazine.

So we found the reason why the box was open for checking in the first place ei?

No nekkid scenes there. Sorry to disappoint you custom people *uhuk~

Some sample pages. There's a total of less than 400 pages for this magazine. I think. And it's in japanese. Other than that, it's filled with color pages and some text pages (which I can't read).

I think there's pages about Shakugan no Shana too, but I'm unable to translate *cries.

And now the poster that comes with this set. Measuring at 594 x 841mm. Big poster. Heck! It's bigger than my roxy poster. Geh~ It was folder into small postcard size.

Now the best part of all. The figure that comes with it.

This figure is from chara-ani. Not Good Smile Company. Surprisingly I couldn't find the proper information about it in myfigurecollection.net. It's roughly the same height as a nendoroid petite, which is around 5-7cm more or less.

What's detachable?

Actually the skirt is detachable from the legs too.

You need not to worry about fixing the drill like hair back cause it's labeled.

The ribbon.

The base have two holes on it. For the legs. Not fond of looking at the legs. Doesn't look pretty. Why can't it be hanging like nendoroid petite?

The neck. Unlike nendoroid petite. But it's movable.

Now it's all fixed.

Notice the brochure behind it? It contains details / image of released figure. Like the one Toradora from toyworks.

It's even taller than my camera cover. Hehe~

Overall it was interesting, not as satisfying but interesting. I mean with doing a comparison, the overall painting wasn't as great but it's acceptable. And it's a cute figure too. Oh yeah notice the face size?

SEGA Game Prize Nyoron set of 4

As you can see, I sort of screwed up my current layout coz was trying to change to a new layout the other day but am still not satisfied with the choice. Talking about back to basics and being uninspired to design is not farnie.

But we're not gonna get into that in details coz this post is dedicated to the above mentioned PVC figures. I can't remember when I made this order but it was months ago till it was released last January. I think it was release for quite awhile now but only got it shipped this week coz Pinky Street new series got delayed till March 2010. Oh yeah, and thanks for EMS 50% shipping! Definitely save a lot. But that only happens for the month of February. Heh~

Anyways, another trip to my dad's office yesterday to pick up my package. Hmm, I can't seem to change my address unless I inform them earlier? Or when making my order? No idea. They seem to have skip that part.

It took 4 days via EMS. Awesome! I was still at my dad's office parking area that time. Couldn't wait till I get home, I open the box in my car hahahahha.

Oh yeah, those cute Happy Tree Friends keychains aren't mine. I wish it's mine. Should have ordered some for myself but out of stock already. *sigh.

Review: Kagami Kuro Nendoroid

Talking about delayed post huh (I had it 9 days go)? I finally got time to open the box and play with it.

Anyways, I'm gonna skip the whole story about what Kodomo no Jikan is all about and get straight to the figure itself. Besides, you could read it up from neko magic or Good Smile Company about this figure.

Just like the other nendoroid, except some I bought after the release, this particular nendoroid was open for pre-order last August 2009 and released in December. It was suppose to release on November but was delayed. I'm guessing it got something to do with mass producing of nendoroids. I feel so broke it's not farnie.

I never regret getting this figure. Just like my other nendoroids except Sebastian Michaelis and Nozumo Itoshiki, I got this from Animetsu. Unfortunately, it's out of stock, maybe whoever wants this can outsource to any local store or online shops?

Okay enough of that, lets proceed to what's sweet about owning a Kagami Kuro nendoroid shall we?

First of all, I gotta say that I never watch the anime prior purchasing this figure, I just thought she's cute with those big cat ears ;3 I love.

Somehow I lost my memory when it comes to remembering when I ordered her but I swear it was after nendoroid Mio. I somehow didn't list down the dates when I pre-ordered her from animetsu. But I know that it's around after August of last year? And after the long wait, she came home to me. I though had to pick her up at my dad's office. And it's been pouring all day today.

Well since I requested Jason to hold on to my Mio nendoroid till the other nendoroids arrived, I get four (4) nendoroids home today. So happy. Was confused when he gave me two (2) tracking number at first though. I get it now hehe :)

Oh yeah, here's what I think of the nendoroid nyoron. Hmm.

First, was confused about the skirt. Why issit soft? Iono. Then, the parts are a bit loose. Weird, I got used to the tight kind of parts. Actually it's gewd that it's easy to take off, just need some time to get use to. Hair difference between those two (2) is obvious. The nendoroid have a darker hair. Everyone knows that. Petite still look cuter. I love the hands got holes, can hold stick like items.

So yeah, pretty much it. Overall it's just nice to have it as my collection. We'll see how the others will do ei?

Now I have eight (8) nendoroid.

The Arrival of Danbo

My order from last 6th Dec 2009 arrived today. Well more like I went to the post office to collect it myself. Don't ask.

Poster, OMG this is so cute.

Another one of the pages and mind you this magazine contains 476 pages (double sided prints) excluding the front and back cover. This magazine has a lot of text going on and some color pages of games and anime related content. I think.

The other Dragon Age magazine has 846 pages (double sided prints) excluding front and back cover. This magazine contains comics, samples as below.

I"m not gonna go through the magazines in details coz of the number of pages. I just flipped it through. Now lets get to the figures shall we?

Took it out of the box. Interesting enough, this is my first time seeing this type of packaging for a petite. And this reminds me of the packaging for re-ment miniatures *sweat.

Since I have two (2) petite figure in hand, I'll start off with the gym uniform one.

*cut plastic and take out parts.

What's detachable? The head, the hands, the hairs and the body.

The face seems to be perfect. The hair somehow doesn't seem to fit the head nicely, but I'll try again. Coz my hands were sweaty.

I was having trouble attaching the ribbon to the hair. I manage to fix it after detaching everything and putting it back on again LOL. And there's indication for left (notice the L from the above photo?) and right ribbon.

Failed attempt to fix ribbon on hair orz. So I took this earlier. While typing this post, I detach the whole thing and attach it again and manage to get it done.

Petit Chara Land To Love-Ru Falling Girl`s

Mind you, I had this since 24th October of last year (2008). Bought three (3) character from Moe Yume and another three (3) belongs to my brother. He thought it'd be kewl to display all in my room. I put them in a casing, safe from dust.

I still have the boxes just in case.

This is not a new figure, it was released last September 2008. I'm not sure if you can still get these or not. Regular price for twelve (12) pieces is 6,600 yen. More info, click here.

Height at 70mm for each figure. There's only six (6) different figure.

These three (3) belongs to cubex.

And these are mine.

What can you do with them? Well nothing much, only two (2) of the figure can hold items and you can detach their head from their body, hence, change their body. And that's about it.

This is not mine, mind you. This belongs to my brother, cubex. I'm just "borrowing" it for some of my photoshoots, if you call that photoshoots hehe. Btw, this is the only Nendoroid he has. One of the early nendoroids that adds up to his many many collection. He should "give" or okay maybe the correct word is "sell" it to me, since I started this whole Nendoroid collection rite? *giggles.

Okay, lets get started with trying to assemble. I thought maybe, just maybe I could use the other nendoroids facial expression that I have but was disappointed coz it doesn't fit. Oh my goat, this is like when I tried to fit Sebastian Michaelis's expression to L's. Surprisingly there's some difference in the material/make. Saber has more rubbery material compared to the harder material for L's hair. And the face, yeah well, Saber got bigger face.

See, there's a reason why I hold L's face.

It's pointy compared the Saber's face. There's difference for her arm too. But maybe I'll talk about that next time.

Anyways, now lets get to the photos I took today shall we?

I manage to take roughly 16 shots. Separated by two (2) sessions coz the neighbour's kids were bugging me. I can't concentrate lol.

How to protect your figurines from dust?

Before I found these covers, I'd normally stacked em or put them in a box.

These days, I got these dust covers from Daiso (1 Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah) at RM5 each.

Be careful not to get the wrong size. Get the Under Bed or Clothes type. These are bigger and can fill up quite a lot. But these are fast selling items. I'd go to Daiso often enough to get em. Hehe.

Another alternative is to purchase the material from the local cloth shop at Segama's Wah Yoon. I've seen it there before, but not sure how much it cost. You'd though have to sew it yourself.

Touhou Project NekoNeko Delivery Service: Rin the Fire Cat

This item has been released since last September this year and I've been wanting to get it. Unfortunately, the website that sells it don't ship internationally. But few weeks ago, found out that the site implemented ENGLISH language, I was browsing every single category there is and started placing my order.

My worries, shipping cost and shipping address.

Wanted to ship it to my office but scared might encounter the case when I sent the Nagato Yuki Petite that I ordered via Ebay. Hence, sent it to my dad's office address.

Anyways, the website I've been talking about is amiami.com. This website is based in Japan and only accepts payment via PayPal. Post via EMS and just implemented SAL. So I guess the price was okay since they have discount. Thank gawd I have some balance in my PayPal account.

Did some calculation and proceeded with my order for the above mentioned item. I guess it would be a waste to just order this item that I decided to add another item. Which brought to the total amount of RM200++. Was actually planning to get a Nendoroid but since this particular item only has 2 in stock left, I decided to order this one instead. The item I'm talking about is the Game-prize The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Vignetteum Cute Vol.1 (consist of Haruhi + Yuki + Ryoko + Emiri) by SEGA. This particular item was sold out in XL Shop and they sell separately at Hobby Search or HLJ. If I'm not mistaken. It's sold for RM80++ locally. But I got it for less than RM100. *blames shipping. I'll blog about the other figure some other time. I haven't open it yet.

Lets start from the beginning. I ordered this item last week. Arrived 2 days ago, only received it today (my dad went to his office and picked it up for me). Good thing is, the box fits exactly the figure (unlike Hobby Search, they owez give big box orz). *excited.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan 3rd Super Limited Version! (Book)

I finally got it!

But for 3x the original price. Har har har. That's for missing out from the earlier pre-order (check out the original price, here). No more. But then, I'm very satisfied with the item. Lets get on to how and when I got it shall we?

I've been contemplating for months in wanting to get this comic book. Not because of the comic itself but for the petite figure. I love to collect these. I started collecting since god knows when. It's a not so farnie hobby. Collecting this puts a hole in your wallet/purse.

One day, I receive a notification via email, since this was on my watch list. Looking through the list, found out that it was on sale. The prices from ebay is not farnie. It could reach to USD49.99 (without shipping). It shouldn't cost that much to begin with! But the one I got is from this seller at Japan, otaku_do_akihabara, I watch his list for months now and it's on sale. The price? USD26.99. I went through all the conversion and thought the price was okay. So, what did smarty massy do? Clicks "Buy It Now". SO SMART! Shipping via SAL was USD17 (or was it USD18), but being the paranoid brat that I am, I choose to ship via EMS instead which cost about USD26. Total was USD52.99.

Well at least it didn't reach RM200 right? Very farnie massy.

This was an easy and fast transaction. Enquire, click buy, pay, and wait for item to be sent out. Yes, easy indeed. Transaction went smoothly without any problem and seller sent the package the following day. And I got my EMS tracking code in no time. So, there I was, tracking my item as soon as I got the tracking no.

I've estimated the item to arrive on Monday coz my package was at KLIA Pos Malaysia on the 30th October 2009. I start panicking when there weren't any update after that. I was checking the EMS page everyday. Started to panic and started cursing in plurk (yeah it appeared on facebook status updates too), sorry. You see, when you want something so badly, you must have it. So I thought, hey, maybe delay, since it's Halloween, maybe they got some kinda of holiday huh? Yeah rite! Lets just say that I had to go through calling our local post office (trust me, it's not easy trying to get through) few times and I called KLIA Pos Malaysia to check the status of my item. I found out my package had been shipped to KK last 30th October 2009. *sigh. The horror!

Called our local post office again, went through different phone numbers till they directed me to Pos Laju. Was informed by Pos Laju that my package is in customs. Er, blur, didn't they check it when it reach KL during the transit? *blurs. Check again? Yeap. And guess what? Customs office only opens at 2pm. So okay, wait another day. Who knows everything will clear up and Pos Laju will send it to me. WRONG! At this point, it has already been 10 days. EMS from Japan to KL takes about 3 days and to reach KK it takes at least a week. The latest is around 8-9 days. But it has been 10 days now and my package is still not here. Loads of stuff going through my mind. Oh the paranoia. It's seriously not farnie.

Finally, I manage to get the hold of Pos Laju and found out that my package has been release by customs and I can either pick it up myself at the counter (which takes about maybe 15-20 mins to get to from my office) or wait till they send it to me. So, okay, stewped me, I told them to send it to me. Didn't on the package its already written my address and office phone number? Like hello?! Why did the lady ask me stewped question again? *confused. I thought again, oh heck, who cares, at least I'm getting my package finally. WRONG again! I waited anxiously for my package and was complaining till it was 3pm. I have no patience for waiting, especially when it's send to my office. I made calls to the Pos Laju again. It's not easy getting through okay. I have no idea why so many people call Pos Laju. I tried two (2) numbers, I think my phone doesn't work well with redialing that I had to press it time and time again. God knows how many times I tried to get through. This time, a different lady answered the phone and I went through checking for the status of my package again.

Guess what? The lady told me the package haven't been cleared yet and need to go through more procedures. At that point, I paused and started talking again and ask how I could get it by that day itself. Trying to remain calm and talk nicely is a bit hard on my side coz I paid extra for EXPRESS MAIL and package got delayed. So then the lady told me that she will try to get my package release as soon as possible and send it to me the next day. OMFG, I said no thank you, I want to collect my package today since the other lady that I talked to earlier in the morning (11am mind you), had told me that I could pick it up myself that time. Left my number with them and they said that they'll call me at 4pm.

Waited for the phone call at 4pm while holding my bladder and thinking at the same time of how I could make it to the post office and back to Sadong to pick my sis up at 5pm. And it was raining heavily at that time. At around past 4, I received the call and I went off directly without going to the toilet. Yes, I informed my colleagues and went off.

Reached the post office few minutes after that, got out with my umbrella (somehow this doesn't quite work, I'm still wet), walked to the counter, waited and went to the wrong counter, went to the right counter, enquired and waited again till the dood at the counter bring my package to me. Still can ask if it's my real name orz. What's so weird with my name @_@""" It's my real name okay! Signed it off, took my package, went back to my car, phew~ I was so happy after went through all that. Relief! Not yet, it was 4:30pm, I went to my sis's office, still got time to open my package in the car.

So, that's pretty much it. All the troubles I had to go through in getting this item. CRAZY!

I was all excited when opening the box. You'll soon know why, just scroll down.

This package actually arrived last Friday. But since my dad has seminar on Monday, couldn't get it till today. Thanks daddy ;) for picking it up.

I still feel regret for not ordering this the last time I saw it at the forum. This the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan 3rd Super Limited Version! (Book) is sold out in most of the online shops I visit and even if it's available, it'll cost maybe 3x the normal price. More info, here.

I'm still thinking whether I should get it online *sweat. Next we have a Touhoubougetusyou Comics and figure. I've pre-ordered it from Animetsu and still waiting for the item to reach my place ;) This cost me RM112 (with shipping). I saw this from a link a posted by a forumer at LYN nendoroid thread. Another comic and figure version by Kadokawa Shoten. The nyoron churuyasan megassa (Limited Edition) book. I feel regret coz I didn't pre-order this from the local sites. Instead, I ordered from the usual japan hobby site, Hobby Search for this. The shipping by EMS from Japan kills. You could get a normal size nendoroid for that price. While local online sites selling it way cheaper *sigh. Oh well. I was considered lucky coz they restocked this. Oh yeah, this item is released already. I'm still waiting for my shipment from Japan. Being a nendoroid collector is not funny

Ever since I started collecting nendoroid last year, I've been getting more and more nendoroid figures to collect. My 1st was a limited edition from Wonder Fest that cost as much as 2 normal size nendoroids, click here (for my previous post). I'd blame BakaNeko for getting me so addicted to the cute expression on those chibi figure.

I now have four (4) in hand and two (2) pending for pre-order release.

My four (4) are L (death note), Al-Azif (demonbane), Sebastian M. (kuroshitsuji) and zetsubo sensei. And my pre-orders are nyoro~n and Mio (k-on).

I'd also placed and order for these.

These are puchi/petit. Purchase with the comic book. And these are limited edition. *faints.

What I wanted but didn't get is the Nagato Yuki T_T *cries.

I also missed out on ToraDora's pre-order @_@""

Well at least it doesn't cost as much as a nendoroid. There are normal version of Toro and Kuro. My bro has both of those. Two (2) edition. I also want Prize Revoltech Costume Series No. 1 of Toro and Kuro. Play-Asia still has it but it's so expensive there.

There will also be a Xmas edition one which will release in November.

I received my Sebastian nendoroid from Hobby Search last Thursday.

When I put them side by side, I realize there's some size difference in their face and hair. Even the material is different.

So I went and check the details. Sebastian nendo is done by a different sculptor, Plastic Arts while L nendoroid is done by Nendoron.

I guess no putting Sebastian facial expression on L's head huh? XD

I'm sorry for the lack of update. There's lotsa stuff that I want to update with but internet connection getting worse everyday.

First up, is a set of new release from Pinky Street. Three (3) new figure.

Very cute expression. Expect to release in August. I've already place my order from Hobby Search.

I seem to notice lotsa people giving up on this collection. *sad. Maybe it's not as movable as the big head nendoroids huh?

Up next are updates on Nendoroids. I'm not entirely a collector for these types of figure but I'm tempted. What's stopping me? MONEY! Nendoroids cost 6 - 7 times than a Pinky Street figure. Yes, very sad.

I was browsing through my favorite figure website, Neko Magic, when I stumbled upon this.

OMG! Toradora collections! And it's uber cute. Wait wait wait. I seem to be forgetting something. Ehem, this site suppose to be dedicated to Pinky Street. Erm what's going on here? I just realize this blog was suppose to be just Pinky Street Figures. Ehem. I've expanded my collection with nendoroids, these cost more. I know, I sucked. It's too cute to resist. The latest collection I wish to have is the above mentioned. What's that?

Here's some details about it.

Good wife! Dictator! Scary wife! Operation Cozy Family, Begin!!

The anime of "Kyouran Kazoku Nikki" has come to an end, but it still remains as popular as ever, and now a 1/8 scale PVC figure of the mother of the Midarezaki household, Kyouka, is on its way!

Kyouka stands with her cat ears and tail, looking like a young girl even though she claims to be 20 years old. Making use of her fervent character, she is placed in a pose that truly makes her look like an omnipotent deity. Two of the mini-Kyokas that bustled around in the opening theme of the series have also been included in a cute Nendoroid petite form, each with different expressions.

I was scared that I missed out on this collection. Thank gawd! It's available for reservation! I'm so getting these.

Erm, I know I said something about minimizing on figure purchase. I did. I did. I cut down quite a lot leh. I'm sorry. It's so hard to neglect and not buy series 8.
